~hE much discussed and publicized issue. Because the issue and t~e rEsolution
\j~~l ultimately affect both cities ar.C:/ur the decision of one may impact the
rt.r.rr, the Ct:partment would prefer a .jo;rt meeting. The meeting shoulc' he
rublic~ but the discussicr. be confined only to council members ~~~
r~prp~fr+t~iYBS from the Homeowners Assccieticn, Fishing Conqress and the r~p.
If an acceptable resolution is not forthcoming before the: r.Ext Executive Council
meeting on June S. 1ge~ the r~4uest for eminent domain will again be on the
agenda.
Sinc~ S0 much emotion has been gener~ted ~hcut the use and protection of this
public wilter body over the past six year~. especially since early 1984, that the
time between now and the: E~cr.I!~ive Council meeting is crucial. I woulri like to
suggest such a meeting be held at a ti~p arc place convenient to the
participants by April 30th. CJ'rti"ia Wheeler from my staff will corltact you
shortly to coordir.?tc the proposed meeting.
