Dear Sir:
The Svithiod Home ~hich owns the land across the road from
Mrs. Reid's new house west of the Home for aged is concerned
about the drainage recently placed under the road leading sur-
face water from Reid's property onto the property south of the
road.
The county road has been there for forty or more years and
all the sl~face water on the west side of the road has been directed
and flawing along thc west side of the road. There are culverts
under the roads leading into the Svithiod Home property placed
there for the pnrpose of carrying this surface water. We cannot
understand why the Town Board wonld allow diverting this water
under the county road and onto OUr property. It may not make
any difference now as long as OUr property is vacant but eventually
it will be used as bUilding sites and we just wonder what the Town
Board expects to do with this water at such time. We wish that
the Town Board Would give this matter their consideration and
advise us of what they intend to do to solve this prOblem.

I understand that when Minn. new T. H. :/1=7 is opened to -bravel
beyond Excelsior that the old :/1=7 will revert back to Excelsior Township.
I believe this old road was originally called the Excelsior and watertown
Road. May be it had another name later on.
I would like to have some stationary printed with my country location
printed on it.
I would respectfully suggeat the name SMITHTOWN BAY ROAD as being most
appropriate# historical and direotional as the Lake Minnetonka road
from the Excelsior Junior Highschool to joining new :/1=7 at the head of
Smi thtown Bay Hill.
