The Park Commission, a group of seven volunteer citizens who advise the Council, would like to move ahead in Park Development quickly, but because of financial constraints, want to use the limited Park monies wisely and efficiently. After some trial and error it was discovered that there are professional people whose job it is to develop and build parks, so the Commission instigated the hiring of a Park Planner for the City of Shorewood.A Park Planner has the ability and background to advise on the best use of land, he knows the necessary parts of a practical and usable park, he can do the planning and development and see that projects are wisely and efficiently carried out. He should also have the ability to help the City find financial means to get the job done. We believe we have a man and a company who can do such a job for Shorewood. We believe Mark Koegler of Van Doren - Hazard - Stallings is just what the future Parks of Shorewood need. After working with Mark for only a short time, the Park Commission is quite impressed and appreciative of his input. They are looking forward to working with him in the future development of Shorewood City Parks. The Shorewood Park Commission SHOREWOOD T- SHIRTS Be the first on your block to proudly wear a City of Shorewood T- shirt. We still have T- shirts in all sizes (except extra large) . They are white cotton with a full color City of Shorewood logo and the inscription "Shorewood" on the front. The T- shirts are priced to sell at $10 apiece. CQ ATTENTION...
