RESOLUTION NO. 09-028
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PUBLICATION OF
ORDINANCE NO. 458 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY
WHEREAS, on 27 April, 2009, the City Council of the City of Shorewood adopted
Ordinance No. 458 entitled "An Ordinance Amending Chapters 103 and 104 of the Shorewood
City Code, Establishing Administrative Enforcement of Code Regulations;
WHEREAS, the City staff has prepared a summary of Ordinance No. 458 as follows:
1. The provisions of this ordinance are intended to provide the City of Shorewood with
an informal, cost - effective and more efficient alternative to criminal prosecution or
civil litigation for certain violations of the City Code.
2. The ordinance authorizes Code Compliance Officers to issue citations for violations
of the City Code.
3. The ordinance provides people alleged to have violated the Shorewood City Code a
means of contesting the violation order or a fine levied in conjunction with the
violation.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD:
1. The City Council finds that the above title and summary of Ordinance No. 458
clearly informs the public of intent and effect of the Ordinance.
2. The City Clerk is directed to publish Ordinance No. 458 by title and summary,
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 412.191, subdivision 4.
3. A full copy of the Ordinance is available at Shorewood City Hall.
