City Achieves UPonGREEN Status
The City of Shorewood is proudto announce they have achieved UPonGREEN statusbymeeting
several criteria required by the organization UPonGREEN!
UPonGREEN ('UP") is an international environmental solution and public-awareness initiative
that removes the `green' chaos and creates an incentive for all to engage. UPhas created a simple
yet meaningful plan that everyone can achieve and benefit from environmentally, financially &
sociall.
To view the criteria the city has achieved, go to wwwupongleencom and search for City of
Shorewood. Once on the site, your family or business can view criteria for individual households
and businesses to j oin the "UP" movement. There is no charge for a family to join, and, through
the web site, members can invite other families and businesses to join. It's a great way to help the
environment, while giving some great guidance to your company or household's efforts. To assist
households, eachissue ofthe Shore Report city newsletter will include GreenTipsto help withyour
conservation effort. Tips are also listed on the city Facebook page.
