RE: PARR APPLICANT INTERVIEWS
Chairman Laberee stated that all three candidates had something
to offer and it is too bad that the Park Commission can't be
enlarged. One of the reasons for the idea of enlargement being
• that at least three of the Commissioners travel out of state
from time to time, and others have very busy times seasonally
regarding their jobs, and it would make it easier to come up
with a quorum. However they did not know if such a thing is
possible, or if too many people on the Commission would create
more problems and drag out meeting time.
James Wilson received 3 votes and Steven Dzurak received 1 vote.
James Wilson applied for the Park Commission in 1987 at the same
time that Angela Weatherly applied. At that time he was actually
the first choice of the Commission but they felt it was crucial
to have a representative from the newly developing SE area.
The letters from the applicants that are not approved by the
Council will be kept on file and will be personally informed by
me, when another position opens up, that the position is available
and if they wish to apply they can do so. They would not have
to resubmit another letter.
You should all have copies of all the applicant's letters
including one for Jim Wilson dated 1987.
