Park Commission Minutes

Members Presents John Breckheimer, Win Drews, Don Goettelman
Gordon Lindstrom, Robert Nygaard, Jean Raby,
Rodger Stein and Councilman William Keeler.
Absents Conrad Schmid,
Chairman Breckheimer ' called the meeting to order at 7:30 P•M.
Chairman reported that Cathcart building had been cleaned, heater
installed and screens were being painted. All football equipment
has been removed to the asso.
Badger building has become a reality with the help of many vol-
unteer hours and city personel help. Picture of progress in the
Maverick newspaper week of Dec. 13th. Latterner will do electrical,
John Breckheimer to put in elec. sections but partitions are hold-
ing up completion. Windows to be covered with plastic, floor to
'be sealed after sweeping, heater is ready to go, plumbing estimate
is completed, sewer and water hook-up to be finished, roofing to

be completed this week, outside moulding will wait. Plywood can be
temporarily used in the event hockey starts
One hockey net may be sold to Deephaven.-Chairman will ched.1k.
Keeler will pick up transfer switch for electric poles. Jerome
has metal doors. Lengthy "'thy discussion of HUD funds regarding sanit-
ary facilities. It is the opinion of the Commission that it would
be sad to have a brand new facility for the use of the City and
Community alike and not have bathroom facilities. Benches to be installer
New Netting for hockey rinks has been ordered.-total of 3 sets.
Chairman will recommend to Council that Stodola welded aid direct a
letter of thanks to Rick Stodola for donating 12z" pipe for goal
frames.
Janu ry 15th Meeting will primarily be to elect new Commission
officers as the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Secretary positions
have come to term.
Nominations are as follows:
Chairpersons Don Goettelman and Gordon Lindstrom
Vice-Chairpersons Roger Stein and Jean Raby
Secretary: Win Drews and Roger Stein
Nominations will still be open Jan. 15 and entertained from the
Council.
Chairman Breckheimer and Councilman Keeler will recommend to the
Council that the expiring terms as of 1 Of the following
Park Commission members be reinstated for another term of offices
John Breckheimer - Don Goettelmen - Jean Raby
Robert Nygaard will get in touch with Jan Haugen regarding interest
in a mini -park on the Island.
