MEETING — November 6, 1978
M I N U T E S
The meeting of the Shorewood Park Commission was called to order by Chairman
John Breckheimer at 7:30 P.14. on November 6, 1978.

Gordon Lindstrom
Conrad Schmidt
Bob Nygaard
Jean Raby and Win Drews asked to be excused. Request accepted.
Roger Stein was absent.
1. The commission was told of the move of the warming house from
Badger Park to Cathcart Park and of the go ahead to paint and
dress it up as soon as possible.
2. The latest development on the new building at Badger Park was
explained and hopefully scheduled for completion by the end of
November.
3. The approximate expenditures incurred on the building and
quotes of $27,100.00.
• 4. Volunteers for assembly of the building was brought up with
nothing definite decided.
5. The plan to connect both sewer and water after the plumbing
is completed was decided at the final meeting with HUD — City —
Engineering and Contractors.
6. Lake access was discussed and a few suggestions made as to areas
that might be used as public assess. The cost to inland residences
for lake costs etc. was brought up with the general feeling of
unfairness.
7. Work will progress on a layout for a football field at Cathcart
Park even if it is for practice only; then presented to the
Council at a future date.
8. The bike trail was questioned, but dut to other projects, was
passed over for now.
9. The possibility for a mini park on Shady Island was also brought
up and plans to look at this again in the future.
