Guest: Gordon Lindstrom Gordon Lindstrom was welcomed by the chairman and given a brief de- scription of the responsibilities of a park comm. member. Mr. Robin stated that he had talked to at least two other interested possible candidates but they did not appear. After discussion Win D. moved and John B. seconded the recommendation that Gordon Lindstrom fill the vacancy created by the resignation of William Wyatt on the Park Board. Unanimous. Mr. Keeler will be informed before the Feb. 13th Council meeting. Brief.discussion of bike trails. Mr. Robin would like to procur names from Bill W. from his resourse file in regards to Rt. X19 between the Plaza and approx. the Vil• animal hosp. as to plans. We would wish to advise the Co. regarding our plans and gently prod them as to action. Gordon Lindstrom will attend Planning Commission Meeting Feb. 16th. • J.R. requested a review of minutes to clarify money vs. land.-$350-00 and spec. the words "in lieu". Discussion of Dutcher addition. J.R. advised Comm. that he is looking for available land for ski - touring and snowmobiling. Win will contact Jim H. and mark large Shorewood map. John B. will try to locate large map provided by park planners marking available trails. Win D. mentioned New Field property and requents map of proposed Babe Ruth field. The possibility of a riding ring in some of the re- maining area is of great interest to some Shorewood property owners. Space needed: prox. 100' x 200 Also possible source of revenue to city. G. Lindstrom said the Excelsior Men's Softball team would like to see adjoining villages form teams and stated that the Excelsior team does have funds available. Fences need to be 270 -280' from home plate. It was noted that our Park brochure did not specify accessible fields ie, v+hether school, church or otherwise oriented in immediately adjoining villages. Badger Buildings It was noted that Badger Park is basically an indus- trailly oriented Park with a great need for more landscaping. Building needs a new roof and removal of some "gingerbread ", less obvious wiring and a new paint job vs. new siding. Discus ion of moving bldg. J.
