MIMMASHTA SCHOOL, AUGUST 29, 1977

The meeting was called to order by Chairman John Rrerkhe3mer. Members present:
Bill Wystt Win Drews, Jim Robin, Roger Stein, Jean Raby.
Connie Schmid came to the meeting and expressed his willingness to serge on the
Park Commission. His name will be presented to the council for approval.
Debbie Fel.lman presented the completed "Shorewood Lcn& -Range Park Play,. Booklet*"
Win Drews moved that we accept the booklet. Roger Stein seconded the motion , anc1.
it passed.
Debbie reported that information regarding LA CON money should have been mailed to
the Mayor on August 1st, and that applications need to be in by September 16th.
Jahn Breckheimer is to check with the mayor and prepare an application by Sept 16th*
Debbie said that the GrarAmdnaid coordinator for the DNR was Arnie Setzler (296-- 2769).

te would have specific information regarding money the DNR would, have available for
trails. Jahn Breckheimer agreed to call him
The park commission needs storage apace for site plans, concept maps, etc,, Jean Raby
agreed to check to see if this can be arranged for at the Village Hall.
There was a uestion raised as to whose turn it was to attend planning; commission
meetings. J q d;: Breckrheimer said he would call Tom Schmid to get the schedule that
we had agreed upon and would call and :inform that person.
Bill Wyatt agreed to call. Frank. Kelly to see if Ordinance No. 89 has been rewritten
as agreed n.
The Autumn Joint Park Commission meeting was announced. It is to be 'Nesday,
September 13th, at 700 p.m. at the Excelsior City Hall..
In regard to the Cathcart Building Jim Robin ` and Ball Matt are to draw up a site
plan and tape it to the Chanhassen Building - Inspector for approval. Jim aiid PE
are to meet with Vern Watten Friday, September 2nd, to ,go over .final plans for
the building and then to take care' of details' necessary to ,get construction going.
The next regular Park Commission meeting will be September 19, 1977.

At 7:00 p m August 29, 1977, Park Commissi crA members Win Drews, Jahn Breckheimer,
Roger Stein, Jim Rabin Jean Raby and Bill Wyatt met at New Field u-Ith :Yule Evans,
Howie Gans, Frank Kelly and Bill. Keeler. Frank Kelly had a contract dawn up that
was given to Howie Cans for acceptance by his organization.
It was tentatively decided that a Babe Ruth Field will be developed next to the
• existing Little League Field and the back approximately two acres will be avail»
able far park development* Grading and sodding is to be completed this fall.
