MEETING NOTICE
The Hennepin County Assessor will conduct the
Open Book Meeting for the annual review of assessments for the
City of Shorewood
on
Monday, May 2, 2011
from
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
at the
City of Shorewood
5755 Country Club Road
Shorewood, Minnesota
Hennepin County mailed property valuation notices to Shorewood residents on April 6.
Residents who have questions regarding their property valuation notice or who wish to discuss
the estimated market value for their property should call the Hennepin County Assessor’s Office,
612-348-3046. If you are not satisfied after discussing the information with an assessor, you may

appeal your valuation notice at the Open Book meeting scheduled for
5pm - 7pm at Shorewood City Hall
. The meeting is conducted under the authority of the
Hennepin County assessor, which will conduct an “open-book” process for valuation appeals. At
the Open Book meeting, the county assessor staff will review the valuation with the property
owner. The valuation reflects a property’s value on January 1, 2011, and is used for property
taxes payable in 2012. Anyone who is unable to attend the meeting on May 2 may retain their
right to proceed to the County Board meeting to be held in June. The deadline for applications for
the County Board meeting is May 25. Specific information about this is listed on the back of your
valuation notice.
