IdM IMM -
City Administrator
City of Shorewood
5755 Country Club Road
Shorewood, Minnesota 55331
near Mr. Ileek!
I am submitting my name for consideration to be selected to serve on the Shorewood
Planning Commission.
As an Election Judge and District and State GOP Delegate, I have demonstrated a
keen interest in the processes which shape our local communities,
After attending the last hearing held by the Commission regarding future
development along the Smithtown Road Corridor, I came away with some serious
a^.rnxarerxsc.
Most of us would prefer to live in a stylish and forward - leaning community.
However, there is a charm and character of individualism, coinciding with privacy
and a degree of seclusion and personal property rights, which distinguish Excelsior
and its surroundings from places like Wayzata, Chanhassen, and Maple Grove,
I want to have an influence in preserving the right balance for my neighborhood.
Please note the attached resume. Thank you.
Sincerely,:%^

Thanks Jean.
Before I retired this past September, I spent the past 10 years at Allianz Life Insurance Company. I also worked at
Prudential Life Insurance Company for more than 20 years.
My wife and I have lived in Shorewood for a little more than 23 years. Both of our sons went through the Minnetonka
school system. Although I look forward to my retirement, I do plan on staying active through part time work and
volunteer work.
I would be very interested in learning more about the vacancy that exists on the City of Shorewood Planning Commission
and I look forward to meeting with the City Council on Monday evening.
Please let me know if you need any more information.
Thank you for the opportunity.

Subject: Park Commission
Dear Jean,
I am interested in serving on the parks commission. I have lived in the city of Shorewood for two years and
would like to be more involved in the community. Living in Minnesota my whole life, I have a love for the
outdoors and have used the local, regional and state park systems extensively. Moreover, as a horticulturist now
acting as a landscape designer, I have a great deal of ideas and talents to aid the parks of Shorewood. Overall, I
enjoy the outdoors and would like to contribute to the city as a parks commissioner.
Look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you.

Hello Brian,
Did you mean that three years of time and fun has gone by already?
It has been an honor and privlage to have served on this Commision and serve the great community of
Shorewood.
There is still much work to do to see what I have helped start and to help implement our CIP for the near future
and beyond.
On that note, I would look forward to continuing to serve. It again would be my honor.
Please advise me of the process for me to continue.
Best regards,
Bob Edmondson
