Dear City of Shorewood City Council,
I am writing in regard to the open volunteer opportunity with the Lake Minnetonka
Conservation District Board, representing the City of Shorewood. I spoke with both
Mark Sylvester and Greg Nybeck to learn more about the LMCD. I am very
interested, and ask to be considered for the position.
I believe my background would be valuable to the LMCD and the City of Shorewood.
Previously, I served on the City of Chanhassen Planning Commission (2005 - 2007). I
hold degrees in Psychology and Educational Administration from the University of
Wisconsin and also have an MBA from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of
Management. I have worked in the consulting industry in change management,
most recently for General Electric Capital Solutions in continuing process
improvement and operational excellence space.
After living overseas for five years, my family and I have returned home to Lake
Minnetonka. Together, my husband, children, and I have a keen interest in
preserving, protecting and educating others on all issues related to the lake. I would
very much enjoy and take pride in the opportunity to contribute to the conservation
efforts on behalf of the City of Shorewood.
