Subject: Planning Commission Position
Hello,
My husband and I live at 5825 Country Club Road and saw in the most recent mailing that you have openings
on the planning commission. I would like to express my interest in the position and would be very interested in
hearing more about the commitment and expectations.
I have attached my profile for you to review. I look forward to hearing from you!
Regards,
Brenna Ramy

My apologies for the late reply. We had a lot of family around this past week for the holidays and just couldn't
find a private moment. At any rate, thanks for your inquiry and I would very much be interested in the
Planning Commission position. But, I do have a conflict with the timing of selection. I thought this position
was pretty much off the table and we have rented a house on the gulf coast for the month of February. We
actually leave on the 24th of January making a side trip through Texas enroute. We won't be back in
Minnesota until about the 12-14th of March this year. We will also be out of the country for about a
month from mid-September until mid-October this year. It is an unusual travel year for us but we have a
couple of big milestones to celebrate. I mention this only in the context that absenteeism typically would not
be a problem going forward. This may be sufficient to exclude me from consideration. But, if not, I can offer
the following background information for the Council to consider:
Currently employed by Wells Fargo Institutional Retirement & Trust - Investment Division as a project
manager
34 years with Wells Fargo and affiliated companies in various senior management roles
Prior Planning Commission member '94 - '96 timeframe
Prior Mayor '96 - '98 timeframe
Life long resident of the south lake community
35 years in Shorewood
3rd generation resident of Shorewood/Excelsior Township
Pro-water extension in order to create efficiency and cost containment
Pro-parks & trail development
Pro-low/moderate housing options that make sense in select neighborhoods such as Mtka Manor or
Shady Hills - Preserve what we have, explore ways to add more
Anti-McMansion development
Pro lakeshore preservation
Pro planned unit developments that create win-win solutions for landowners, developers and
community (think Minnetonka Country Club)
I could certainly be available for a phone interview with the Council or meet with anyone prior to Jan 24th
should that be desirable.

Hi Scott,
I saw the newsletter request for people to serve on the planning commission. I am
the first resident of the new Ashland Woods development so I have had a first
hand view the impact of our development. (I am also the red head who you met
with on the Boulder Cove project).
Prior to moving to MN, I was the president of a Non-profit which was the
community voice for creating a master plan for a revamped park on the Hudson
River overlooking lower Manhattan. Www.jwwpc.org. I oversaw the RFP
process, and transparent execution of creating the community vision and then the
negotiations with the state of NJ on implementing with state funds.
How best would I express interest and find out more about the responsibilities.
Thanks!
Patrick
