Invites You to Attend an Open House Meeting Regarding
Redevelopment of the Minnetonka Country Club Property
As most of you are aware, the Minnetonka Country Club has closed for business and the golf course property has
been sold to a private developer. In January of this year, the City Council retained a planning consultant to conduct
a public process related to future planning of the golf course property, as well as areas immediately adjacent to it.
The Planning Advisory Committee (PAC), consisting of Shorewood residents, was established to assist the
Planning Commission in making its recommendations to the City Council. After nine meetings over the past four
months, the PAC forwarded its conclusions to the City Council in early June. The developer has now submitted
formal zoning and subdivision applications for the development of the property.
In its effort to keep Shorewood residents informed of the upcoming redevelopment project, the City Council
directed its staff to conduct an informal open house meeting. Those residents interested in the project will be able
to meet with city staff to find out more about:
