What I can contribute:
1. As a professional consultant and Ph.D., I can understand complex data, perform detailed analysis, and
conceive solutions. By education and vocation, with both hard facts and reasoned assumptions, I am able to
think both critically and creatively to reach consensus and solve problems.
2. Professionally, I work with people with a variety of educational backgrounds and experiences and deeply
understand and appreciate working with diverse teams
3. My wife and I are 15 year residents of Shorewood, in close proximity to Country Club Road, with
perspective of how traffic has changed over time and its impact on the neighborhoods abutting the MCC
redevelopment site and collector system known as the `cut- thru'. We care deeply about sustaining safety and
quality of life for both current residents as well as those who, in the future, will reside within the Mattamy
development.
4. I have been a consistent listening attendee at the latter PAC open meetings, City Council Meetings, and
Planning Commission Public Hearings and am completely current with the key matters concerning the MCC -
Mattamy project and related City planning postions. Coming up to speed to contribute will not be an issue.

My name is Christopher Gehrke, I am a current resident in Shorewood at 24650 Smithtown Road. I am very interested in
serving on the Shorewood Traffic Committee. I understand the committee will meet monthly starting in September. I
would love to contribute my thoughts and insight on the review of Country Club Road, Yellowstone Trail, Smithtown Rd,
and the Lake Linden Drive area as well as on any other areas that come up in the meetings. I have a young
and growing family that is very interested in traffic changes and impacts in the area, especially living right on Smithtown
Road. I know my daily observance of Smithtown Rd will provide valuable feedback and input that would prove to be
beneficial with both the residents and city in mind. I look forward to hearing back, feel free to reach out to me with any
questions or concerns.

Hi Jean,
Thank for your response to my earlier email. Here is the information you requested
My Interest:
I am interested in serving on the Traffic Committee because of the community's widespread
concern about the impact of the Minnetonka Country Club Mattany development project on our
quality of life, particularly in the area of traffic congestion. I believe the issue and
alternative solutions need careful study and analysis by experts in the field and am willing
to dedicate my time to ensure that the needs of the community are kept at the forefront.
What I Can Contribute:
My background would lend itself to assisting with communications related to the traffic
issue and proposed solutions.
I am currently a Marketing and Communications Consultant and owner of Knutson Construction
(commercial construction firm).
I am not a traffic expert but have lead the planning, development and execution of marketing
surveys, procured professional consulting firms, and managed a variety of research and
communication programs.
I do travel several days a month so would like to know what the time commitment would be for
attendance at meetings.

As retired people living on the corner of Eureka Rd. and Park Lane in Shorewood Pond we have observed the traffic flow from our
home to Smithtown Rd. and County Rd. 19. We are also aware of the volume of traffic in and out of the Freeman Park at peak hours of
the day and evening. We enjoy the park and the activities. We use the same corridors as well as well as Country Club Dr.,
Yellowstone Rd. and Lake Linden Rd. to avoid the intersection of Eureka and Highway 7.
1 would like to serve on this committee because I am willing to listen and have ideas as how to handle the increase traffic the new
Country Club development will add to the area.
Sincerely.

Hello,
I would be interested in serving on this committee.
With respect to what I could bring to the committee, I am a new resident of Shorewood (Aug 5). I
might think there would be value in having an "outside" perspective to local issues.
Also, in my prior career I worked in law enforcement, so I have a sense of how traffic law is enforced
and what is practical.
I would enjoy the opportunity to provide input to our new community, and hopefully in an area that
has some small meaningful impact to those affected!
The best phone number to use for me would be (952) 210 -8336. My address is 5595 Waterford Circle.
Thank you!

My husband, daughter and I have lived on Minnetonka Dr. since 1998. I am a homebuilder /remodeler and have
in fact built a home on Minnetonka Dr., one on Yellowstone Trail and remodeled our own home as well as
several neighbors on both streets. Our daughter goes to school at MMW, before that Excelsior Elementary.
Many neighbors and their children walk to the bus stop(s) on Yellowstone Trail. I am concerned about the
increased traffic on Yellowstone Rd. and particularly if it should impact the quiet, residential street on which I
live... Minnetonka Dr. This street enjoys minimal traffic and many neighbors walk young children in strollers or
bike along it regularly without fear of traffic.
As a builder of over 20 years, I feel I have an understanding and appreciation of the challenges of development
and would hope to provide sensible insight into fair ways to address these challenges.I hope that I might be
considered for this committee.

To whom it may concern,
I would like to be considered as a member of the upcoming traffic study commission. My name is Sandy Finke and I live at
6060 Seamans Dr, Shorewood. I have been a resident of Shorewood since 1990 and have lived in my same home that
entire time.
I would be an asset to the committee and would like to be on the committee for a number of reasons:
- I live very close to the soon to be developed Minnetonka Country Club land
- My husband and I drive around the area at all times of the day and so traffic flow is something I am very interested in
- I have worked in Wayzata, downtown Minneapolis and Bloomington and fully understand the rush hour traffic situation to
and from each of these directions
- I have recently retired and have the time and energy to give something back to my community and have a big interest in
this
- While working I was a district manager at Wells Fargo so I understand how to balance the needs of the individual with
the needs of the community
- I am a logical thinker and can understand complex issues
I hope you will consider me for this committee. I can be reached at sfinke56C7_gmail.com, 952 - 474 -7969 (home), 952 -873-
9088 (cell).
Thanks for your consideration!

I am writing this communication due to my interest in serving on the Traffic Committee which
is being formed.
Three main reasons come to mind to support my interest and qualification for being selected
as a member of this committee.
1. When I look at the activity of assessing traffic volumes and flow, relative to street
capacity, I clearly see a supply and demand efficiency exercise. I have over 20 years of
Supply Chain planning and analysis history in my professional career which I believe would be
of great value in serving this Committee's work.
2. In the Marcus Buckingham Strength Finder profile, three of my top five strengths are:
Strategic, Ideation and Maximizer. All three should serve well in the activities needed from
the Traffic Committee as I believe we will need to utilize all current traffic resources to
the fullest, think outside the box for current traffic resources as well as any potential new
traffic resources, and look further into the future as we consider all options.
3. Finally, I live on Eureka Road near the outlet of Mann Lane. I recognize this traffic
committee is being formed to support the community as a whole, but I also recognize that the
new Country Club development will have a huge impact on the volume of traffic in the area and
is high on the list of the City Council concerns given the initial focus listed. Regardless
of anything else, the volume of traffic is going to increase significantly in our area. I
would much prefer to be a part of the solution, than complain about it later. I believe my
family, friends and neighbors all have creative ideas as well and I would fully intend to tap
into their creativity too.
Thank you for considering me for the Traffic Committee.

I am interested in serving on the Traffic Committee.
I have been a Shorewood resident for 54 years. I have served on the Planning commission and
the City Council. My wife and I both use the streets involved in the review and with the
addition of over 100 houses in the Minnetonka Country Club property I feel that it will be
very important for the city to look at the impact on these streets.

I'd like to considered for the Traffic Committee to help improve the overall traffic flow around and
through Country Club Rd, Yellowstone Trail and Lake Linden Dr area. I have lived just south of
Country Club and Yellowstone for seven years now and commute on these roads daily. I think there
are reasonable solutions to help improve both the quality of life for people living in this area as well as
improve the overall flow of traffic on these roads especially with the upcoming housing development
at the golf course.
Thanks!
