A RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER 2 FOR
THE 2016 TRUNK WATERMAIN EXTENSION PROJECT
CITY PROJECT 16 -04
WHEREAS, THE City of Shorewood Council awarded the contract for the 2016
Trunk Watermain Extension Project (City Project 16 -04) on September 26, 2016 to
Widmer Construction LLC. of Maple Plain, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 was necessary to construct the improvements
and associated work previously recommended by staff and approved by the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, Change Order 1 increased the project construction costs in the
amount of $21,293.25, from the original contract amount of $1,102,856.13 to
$1,124,149.38; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 was necessary to construct the roadways as
specified given the weather conditions at the time of construction along with additional
grading and erosion control improvements to reduce erosion in the spring of 2017; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 will increase the project construction costs in
the amount of $7,794.11 to $1,131,943.49;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
1. Change Order 2 in the total amount of $7,794.11 is hereby approved.
