On March 13, 2017, the City of Shorewood City Council accepted the feasibility report for the Riviera
Lane and Shorewood Lane Street and Utility Improvement Project and called for a public hearing to be
held on Monday, April 24, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. at the Shorewood City Hall, located at 5755 Country Club
Road, to consider the project improvements.
Since your property is included in the project, the City is required by state statute to provide you with the
following notice pertaining to the hearing on the improvements for the Project:
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE RIVIERA LANE AND SHOREWOOD LANE
STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
(CITY PROJECT NO. 17-04)
Notice is hereby given that the Shorewood City Council will meet at the Shorewood City Hall located at
5755 Country Club Road, at 7:00 p.m. on April 24, 2017, to consider the making of improvement No. 17-
04, the street and utility improvements of Riviera Lane south of Yellowstone Trail and Shorewood Lane
north of Smithtown Road. The improvements include reconstructing the existing roadway with concrete
curb and gutter, storm sewer, extension of watermain, hydrants and services to each parcel in the
improvement area, and minor sanitary sewer improvements related to reduction in inflow and infiltration
into the system along Riviera Lane and Shorewood Lane pursuant to Minn. Stat. §§429.011 to 429.111.
The area proposed to be assessed for watermain improvements are the properties abutting the proposed
improvements. The estimated total cost of the roadway and utility improvement is $2,312,500 for
watermain Option 1 and $2,284,800 for watermain Option 2. A reasonable estimate of the impact of the
assessment will be available at the hearing. Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to the
proposed improvement will be heard at this meeting.
