RESOLUTION NO. 17 -077
A RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF FEASIBILITY REPORT
FOR THE RIVIERA LANE, SHOREWOOD LANE, MANN LANE, AND MAPLE
STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
CITY PROJECT 17 -04
WHEREAS, the City of Shorewood proposes to improve Riviera Lane between
Yellowstone Trail and the cul -de -sac; Shorewood Lane between Smithtown Road (CSAH
19) and the cul -de -sac; Mann Lane between Eureka Road and Seamans Drive; and Maple
Street between Lake Linden Drive and the Cul de sac; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvements include reconstruction of the street,
construction of storm sewer, sanitary sewer rehabilitation, within Riviera Lane,
Shorewood Lane, Mann Lane, and Maple Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Shorewood proposes to prepare the preliminary design
and feasibility report for the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429,
and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
That the proposed Riviera Lane, Shorewood Lane, Mann Lane and Maple Street City
Project No. 17- be referred to the City Engineer for study and that the City Engineer is
instructed to report to the council with all convenient speed advising the council in a
preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost - effective, and
feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other
improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and a description
of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for affected parcels.
