Boulder Bridge Farm Association Letter October 9, 2017 Boulder Bridge Farm Association Boulder Bridge Farm Association 80 West 78th Street, Suite 185 27995 Boulder Circle Chanhassen, MN 55317 Shorewood, MN 55331 Re: Illicit sump pump discharge from Boulder Bridge Farm Association property Dear Boulder Bridge Farm Association; City staff is aware of a non-conforming sump pump discharge from a residential property that extends through the Boulder Bridge Farm Association (Hennepin County map/taxpayer data, photos, and the applicable City Code is on the attached). The sump pump discharge to Howards Point Road creates ponding on the street from spring through fall, and icing on the street in the winter months. The city notified the property owner of the issue in May, however the homeowner has not taken action to remove the discharge. The Boulder Bridge Association is requested to remove this sump pump discharge. The other option is for the City's contractor, C.S. McCrossan to remove the sump pump discharge in conjunction with the Howards Point street project this fall. There will be minimal disturbance; any vegetated area disturbed will be restored with black dirt and seed and any impact to the trail will be restored in-kind. The Association has until Friday, October 13, 2017 to either remove the sump pump discharge or sign a Waiver of Trespass so that the contractor can enter the property to complete the work. I welcome the opportunity to discuss with you or any others from the Association regarding this matter.
