Organized Collection of Solid Waste in Shorewood

Pursuant to Minnesota Organized Collection Statute, M.S. 115A.94 (“Statute”), notice is hereby given
that the City has decided to initiate a 60-day period of meetings and negotiations exclusively with its
currently licensed residential collectors to develop a proposal for the organized collection of solid waste
and recyclables from all residential properties up to and included three units. The 60-day period will
commence April 30, 2018. Any proposal that is developed as a result of the negotiations must be
considered a public hearing, and such notice will be provided so members of the public will have an
opportunity to comment should an agreement be reached.
