Re: Mill Street Trail Feasibility Study

Hennepin County is undergoing a feasibility study for a pedestrian and bike trail concept
alongside Mill Street from Holly Lane in Shorewood to 2nd Street in downtown Excelsior.
The County will facilitate a public and stakeholder engagement process to help
determine the trail's feasibility.
Efforts will include listening to community interests, engaging in technical discussions
with Shorewood, Excelsior, Chanhassen, and Hennepin County staff, and hosting
resident focus groups. Interested parties will also be able to participate in an online
survey. Community discussions during this process will result in the creation of a trail
concept and high -level cost estimate.
An open house has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 30th from 6:00pm — 8:00pm at the
St. John The Baptist Catholic Parish (680 Mill Street, Excelsior, MN 55331). For more
