Newsletter 052016The 2016 Construction Season is
Underway!
This newsletter is intended to provide you with
information on upcoming work that will be
occurring adjacent to your property.
The 2016 Mill and Overlay Improvement Project
includes the following roadways:
Garden Road
Gillette Curve
McKinley Place N
McKinley Place S
Shady Hills Circle
The project also includes narrowing the
intersection of Grant Lorenz Road and Edgewood
Road to provide traffic calming. This modification
includes the addition of concrete curb and gutter at
the radii to keep motorists within the traveled lane.
Additional drainage improvements include the
south side of Edgewood Drive between 26375
Edgewood Road and 26305 Edgewood Road and on
the east side of the intersection of Minnetonka
Boulevard and Garden Road.
No matter how hard we try, construction activities
will generate dust, noise, and temporary
inconveniences. Construction will generate
vibrations from time-to-time, which may feel
uncomfortable or may rattle objects in your home.
We request your patience in the matter and
suggest that, for your protection, you take a
moment to look around your home and locate
items of value which may be subject to falling off of
shelves or walls due to vibration. As a precaution,
please remove these items and store them safely
until the construction activities are completed.

Trees, Shrubs, Landscaping, and
Lawn Irrigation Systems?
The on-site project representative will be out
marking landscaping items within the City right-of
-way that will need to be removed in order to
replace deficient concrete curb and gutter and
resolve minor drainage issues. If you have any
landscaping items such as shrubs, flowers, rock
gardens, yard lights, etc. that you would like to
save and reinstall yourself after construction
please remove these items from the City right-of-
way.
If you have a lawn irrigation system within the
City right-of-way, please mark the location of the
sprinkler heads, this will allow the contractor to
take precautionary measures to protect your
irrigation system or identify where to replace the
system if it cannot be avoided.
If you are unsure whether your landscaping items
will be impacted by construction, please contact
Matt Havlik to schedule a meeting at your
residence.
Garbage Service
During construction, garbage haulers may
not have access to the front of your home.
Please add your home address to your trash
receptacle using a piece of tape and a
permanent maker. Please have your trash
receptacles curbside by 6:00 am on
collection days. If necessary, the contractor
will move your trash receptacle to a location
accessible to the garbage hauler.
Special deliveries, weddings,
graduations, garage sales, etc.
If you are anticipating a special delivery,
open house, or any other activity during the
summer construction schedule, please notify
the on-site project representative of the time
and date in which this will occur. The
contractor and project staff will do their best
to provide access.
