Newsletter 071116The 2016 Mill and Overlay Project is Beginning!
Construction is beginning the week of July 18, 2016 and
will generate dust, noise, vibrations, and temporary
inconveniences.
It will be the projects team’s goal to minimize the impact
to residents during the construction activities. As with all
construction projects, patience and communication are
needed to complete a successful project. Please contact
us with your questions, comments, and concerns.
Trees, Shrubs, Landscaping, and
Lawn Irrigation Systems?
The on-site project representative will be out marking
landscaping items within the City right-of-way that will
need to be removed in order to replace deficient
concrete curb and gutter and resolve minor drainage
issues. If you have any landscaping items such as shrubs,
flowers, rock gardens, yard lights, etc. that you would
like to save and reinstall yourself after construction
please remove these items from the City right-of-way.
If you have a lawn irrigation system within the City right-
of-way, please mark the location of the sprinkler heads,
this will allow the contractor to take precautionary
measures to protect your irrigation system or identify
where to replace the system if it cannot be avoided.
If you are unsure whether your landscaping items will be
impacted by construction, please contact Matt Havlik to
schedule a meeting at your residence.
Garbage Service
During construction, garbage haulers may not have
access to the front of your home. Please add your home
address to your trash receptacle using a piece of tape
and a permanent maker. Please have your trash
receptacles curbside by 6:00 am on collection days. If
necessary, the contractor will move your trash receptacle
to a location accessible to the garbage hauler.

Garden Road, Gillette Curve, McKinley Place N,
McKinley Place S, Shady Hills Circle
Special events, deliveries, garage sales, etc.
If you are anticipating a special delivery, open house,
or any other activity during the summer construction
schedule, please notify the on-site project
representative of the time and date in which this will
occur. The contractor and project staff will do their
best to provide access.
Changes to Construction Schedule
Please be aware the construction schedule may
change throughout the project as a result of weather
conditions or other activities beyond the contractor’s
control. Should a major change in the schedule be
anticipated, we will do our best to communicate the
change through this newsletter and door hangers
through your field contact, Matt Havlik
Driveway Access
Residents will have access to their driveways for the
majority of the construction projects. There may be
short periods during the day where a resident may
not have access to his/her driveway due to roadway
construction. Property owners will be provided as
much advance notification as possible when access
to driveways will be restricted.
Thank you for your patience
The project team will do its best to complete the
project in a timely fashion and minimize disturbances
to your property. Please be patient and if you have
questions don't hesitate, call us!
