ORDINANCE NO. 57
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 42 RELATING TO LIQUOR CONTROL,
TO THE SALE, CONSUMPTION AND DIS-
PLAY OF LIQUOR AND TO PROCEDURES
AND FEES FOR GRANTING OF PERMITS
OR LICENSES FOR SALE, CONSUMPTION
AND DISPLAY OF LIQUOR
The Village Council of the Village of Shore-
wood ordains:
Section 1. That Section 1, Subdivision 5, shall be
amended to read as follows:
"Subdivision 5. "Private Club" means a
club as defined by Minnesota Statutes,
Section 340.07, Subdivision 15."
Section 2. That Section 2, shall be amended by
the addition to said section of the following
subdivision:
"Subdivision 7. "Special on -sale license"
means an on -sale Sunday liquor license
issued pursuant to Minnesota Statutes.
340.14, Subdivision 5 as amended by Chap-
ter 832 of the 1969 Minnesota Session
Laws."
Section 3. That Section 5, Subdivision 1, shall
be amended to read as follows:
"Subdivision 1. The Village Council on a 4 5th
vote may issue on -sale liquor license to bona-
fide clubs as defined by Minnesota Statutes,
340.07, Subdivision 15, which have been in ex-
istence for 20 years, and to bonafide clubs or
congressionally chartered veteran's organiza-
tions, which clubs have been in existence for 10
years prior to January 1, 1961. All such clubs
shall be duly incorporated to be eligible to ap-
ply for a license. The licenses issued shall be
for the sale of intoxicating liquor to members
only. The license fee shall be $100.00: license to
expire July 1 of each year."
Section 4. That Section 5 shall be amended by
the addition to said section of the following
subdivision:
"Subdivision 3. The village council on a 4/5
vote may issue a special on -sale license to
bonafide clubs as defined by Minnesota
Statutes 340.07, Subdivision 15, which have
been in existence for twenty years and to
bonafide clubs or congressionally chart-
ered veterans' organizations, which clubs
have been in existence for 10 years prior to
January 1, 1961. All such clubs shall be duly
incorporated to be eligible to apply for a
special on -sale license. The special on-
sale licenses issued shall be for the sale of
intoxicating liquors on Sunday to members
only. The license fee shall be $200.00: li-
censes to expire July 1 of each vear."
Section 5. That Section 7, Subdivision 1, shall
be amended to read as follows:
"Subdivision 1. The Village permit fee for
the issuance of a bottle club license is
$300.00 per annum, the Village license fee
for the issuance of an on -sale license to
bonafide clubs as herein defined shall be
$100.00 per annum, and the Village license
fee for the issuance of a special on -sale
license to bonafide clubs, as herein de-
fined, shall be $200.00 perannum."
Section 6. This ordinance shall take effdet
from and after its passage and publication ac-
cording to law.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ALL OR-
DINANCES TO RAISE THE MAXIMUM
PENALTY LIMITS
The Village Council of the Village of Shore -
wood, Minnesota, do ordain:
Section 1. All ordinances of the Village of
Shorewood which prescribe a maximum
fine of $100.00 or imprisonment for 90
days for an ordinance violation shall now
be deemed to prescribe a maximum fine
of $900.00 or imprisonment for 90 days or
both.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect
from and after its passage and publica-
tion.
