W OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD, REM AN ORDI- NANCE FOR THE PURPOSES OF PROMOTING ORDERLY AND SYS- TEMATIC PLANNING FOR SUB- DIVISION AND LAND DEVELOP- MENT IN THE CITY OF SHOREI►OOD, MINNESOTA . THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD DOES OR- DAIN: SECTION 1. That Section II, Divi- sions; Subd. of Ordinance No. 79 of the City of Shorewood be amended by ad- ding the following: "Provided, a Is pa the city clerk which shall be used for the expenses of the city in connection with the apppr�ooval or disapproval of said division, and further that fees re- qquit�ed by this ordinance for park Lund contributions are also paid." SECTION 2. That Section VII, Pub- lic Land, of Ordinance No. 79 of the City of Shorewood, be and the same hereby is amended to read as follows: "Because a new subdivision as well as a commercial land de- velopment creates a need for . parks and playgrounds, as well as for streets, eight percent of the total area of each new subdivision • or its equivalent shall be dedi- cated for such uses. Such area must be suitable for parks and playgrounds and shall conform to the city plan for parks and playg- rounds within the city. The sub- divider should have the option, in lieu of dedicating area for parks and playgrounds which is accept- able by the city as being land suitable for public parks and playgrounds, to pay into the City Park -Fund a sum of money ual ' to eight percent of the value the raw land contained in the prop- osed subdivision for commercial land development, and the value of the raw land contained in the proposed subdivision or de- velopment shall be determined by the city assessor; or as an al- ternative the subdivider may pay into the city park fund $150.00 for each lot, if the lot is a single fam- fly lot, or $150.00 for each living unit authorized to be built upon the plat, if the plat contains lots other than single family units; or if the development is a commer- cial land development, the owner to pay $250.00 for each. commer- cial sewer unit assigned to the property by the city in accor- dance with the city's commercial sewer assessment and hookup policy:" SECTION It. That the ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and publication according to W. That Section 7- Conditional Uses, Subd. 2 - Stan- dards and Conditions for conditional uses, paragraph A(3)(a) of Ordi- nance No. 77 of the City of Shorewood, be and the same hereby is amended to read as follows: a. Religious institutions, or non- profit research and educational corporations, excluding laborat- ory, chemical, biological, and physical research, provided there is a minimum site of seven acres, no part of which is part of the wet- lands, the site is adjacent to a street with vehicular traffic of over ON vehicles per day and that the site further is adjacent to a commercial district.
