January 8th. 1954
The monthly meeting of the :Beard of the lown ef Excelsior was held in
the American Legion Club rooms. with all of the members present.
The Clerk read the min.tes of the previeus meeting. Attention was called
to an error in the minutes stating that Walter :Bean had mn-ed that a
petition to vacate Water Street be _alMa The minutes are hereby
corrected to read That a motion by Walter :Bean seconded. by A. H. Cl~.
to vacate later Street was passed.
Counsel Grathwelbrought to the beards attention the facts in the case
ef Elmer Grant. Grathwol said that a relative would sign petition BO
'.hat the state could get cuardian ship and. have him commlrtted to an
ins ti tui en.
Joe Thompson asked that he be given some of the Town casoline business
and the board. agreed te work: 011t a plan wherby he would share with the
other station.
The board passed a resolution relative to the Public Employees Retirement
l'u.n.d and. the clerk: was instructed to complete the necessary ferms so
that Neil Randall and. Gust Arnold. could come under the provisions of
the act.
Possible wage raises for the road men was discussed. but it appearii
that at the moment the board did not feel they could grant any increases
a t this time.
