Minutes of the Meeting of December 3, 19.54
A regular meeting of the board of the Town of Excelsior was held
on Friday the 3rd. day of December 1954.
The clerk was ordered to bill Tonka Bay for l~ tons of rock salt
they had obtained from our road dept.
The minutes were amended to include a previous motion to adopt
Town Ordinance * 16.
The matter of the culvery under the Grant Lorenz road was discussed
again with people from that area present. Randall reported that
the culvert was four feet deep, but was cracked in the middle
and would have to be re~laced in the spring. Some of the residents
complained that the ditch had been d~g too deep and sloped back
too far and the results were worse than before.
The board authorized the payment of $1.50 per hour to Lester
Morrison for any hourly work he did for the Town during the
Winter months.
Bills as presented were ordered paid. The clerk presented a
finincial report up to date indicating that the cash account was
overdrawn $2,149.69, but that there was due from the county about
10,000.00 additional on the 1954 levy, which would leave the toen
in good shape providing no unusual expenses were incurred between
then and March, 1955.
With no other business brought before the board a motion was
passed adjourning the meeting.
