MEMO TO COUNCIL

.-- '.,
~:-- ";t-
There seems to have been an error made in this offioe in sending out no1;ioe~ ,. ., ~',:. .
on the street a.d.dressesfor Club Lane and Country ClUb Road. Our mapssh<)1ied:":.9
Country- Club Rd. so had intended that the notices should have. gone' Ol,lt deaig.q.at~i.ng.
the road running along the ea.st side of the Minnetonka Countr.yClub as
"Country Club Road" and t:ne change was intended for the small,dea4end road
formerly known as Club Road - to be changed to "Club Lue" ...to fO'110w~he
policy used throughout the village on small dead. end ,roads and to. make more
distinction between neighboring roads.
In setting up the addresses we were working fr01Jl '-NSP addressing ca:r~ - wh~cb
we failed to make the correction on the road name and evidently tluit UO'ttc:es
went out just reversed as "Country Club Lane" and " Club Bead"but..... \11. r~
signs were ordered in accordance with changes we made' on our ~.,' "
We received no, complaint until the signs were erected and then Mr. (JIson w
vehemently opposed the change. I called James Randall()n Coun~17;,QlubJlcl. .'i'~
and since he had not ohanged his redords yet was not too C~(le~ejt~','l,~ '
with their complaint on the petition but I persona.lly feel tl1&tiQ)l.-iwe'
intended to make is aa improvement in identification as to ~he ~'i~~piQJl.
Now I gu.ess it t s upto the council to decide if the request in the petition
should be honored and. order new street signs.
Weed SpI'4Jdng Contract - No. 5 '.. .' ..... .
1 talked to Mr. Mahoney who J1IfQ1lesss the weed spraying contract for 1974. m,
agreed to $1100. for the year. Jerome Studer recommended that he be a.warded
the contract based on past performance. Weeds will probably be more..s~g.n.ifica.n,l;
with all the unsodded road right-of-way after sewer construction. Lastyee.r's .
cost was $1000. Mr. Mahoney indicated the additional $100 will only cover th~
raise in the cost of the chemiJcals. Since he needed to get his order in for
chemicals early I told him to order since I saw no real rea.son why:th~y shoUtd.
not give him the cont ract again. '
,CHANDLER DINNER

Milton Anderson had rsquested to be on the Agenda for tCilDight but since
no fo~l request had been made to this office and the nature of his request
could be quite controversial I felt that he could be heard under "M.A.'Pl'ERSFROr.

.FINAL SEWER HOOK UP ::DATE - July 1, 1974
In accordance with sewer ordinance the final date for hook up to the
sewer is July 1,' 1') /4.. If the COWlcil intends to enforce the ord.i.....to
the letter I wov'.d 'ilke your support and draft a letter _to allthoseapplioants
who have not yet huoked up to the sewer. Please advise.
I'l'ICM 110. 5 (CANCELLED)
I have ..en advised today that the matter of the Mobil Homes being relocated
has now been resolved to Mrs. Millet's satisfaction. However if she is present
and would like to be heard I suggest that she be heard after Itelll ~b.
Mr. Jqan had. asked if this could be arranged.
B!IJlI76BJ) mSENREICH has presented a proposal for a subdivisl.on of his lot
into 9 lots plus an OUtlot A on which he plans to build. He would like to
withhold final a.pproval until a future date but neoads to get the road and
sewer back to the OUtlot for his residence as soon as possible since he just
put his house up for sale and it sold right a.way .,nd needs a house by Sept.
Could this be referred to the Planning Commission by the meetiI18 of June 131
A decision or recorraendation as to the ne... Subdivision Ordinance should be
preUy well made prior to approval of this division.
