RESOLUTION NO. 12 -037
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A FUND EQUITY TRANSFER FROM THE
GENERAL FUND TO THE SOUTHSHORE COMMUNITY CENTER FUND
WHEREAS, the City Council began operating the Southshore Community Center in
2009 to provide for senior and community activities; and
WHEREAS, those activities, rentals, and donations have not provided sufficient
revenues to fully cover the operating costs of the center; and
WHEREAS, annual deficits were generated in this fund of $2,711 in 2009, $14,939 in
2010, and $16,809 in 2011; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to close the $34,459.08 accumulated deficit in this
fund as of December 31, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems the General Fund to be the most appropriate
funding source for this transfer;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood authorizes that $34,459.08 from the General Fund be transferred into the Southshore
Community Center Fund as of December 31, 2011.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD this 14th
