RESOLUTION NO. 13 -026
A RESOLUTION APPROVING METROPOLITAN COUNCIL LAND ACQUISITION, DESIGN,
AND CONSTRUCTION COOPERATION AGREEMENT FOR THE EXCELSIOR AREA
IMPROVEMENTS, MCES PROJECT 802850 AND APPROVING PLANS FOR MCES
PROJECT 802850
(CITY PROJECT NO. 12 -11)
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Council, as part of its Environmental Services wastewater
facilities plan, proposes to design and construct a redundant forcemain to their facilities within City
rights of way, in Excelsior Boulevard and Covington Road, and
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Council has invited the City to include certain City improvement
project work within the Metropolitan Council project construction documents, and
WHEREAS, The City Council has authorized the Mayor and City Administrator, on behalf of
the City of Shorewood, to negotiate a cooperative agreement with the Metropolitan Council for certain
City Projects by Resolution 12 -063, where said agreement is to be approved by the City of Shorewood at
a future date,
WHEREAS, The City staff has reviewed the cooperative agreement and the plans and
specifications for the Metropolitan Council Project 802850, and the Metropolitan Council has revised
said agreement and plans with staff requested revisions,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SHOREWOOD, MINNESOTA:
The Mayor and Council approve the "Land Acquisition, Design, and Construction Cooperation
Agreement for the Excelsior Area Improvements, MCES Project 802850" and "Approval of
MCES Project 802850 Improvement Plans ".
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD this 22nd day of
April, 2013.
