RESOLUTION NO. 14 -072
A RESOLUTION APPROVING PUBLICATION OF
ORDINANCE NO. 516 BY TITLE AND SUMMARY
WHEREAS, on 25 August 2014, the City Council of the City of Shorewood adopted
Ordinance No. 516 entitled "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 500 OF THE
SHOREWOOD ZONING CODE, REGARDING NUISANCES (NOISE) ";
WHEREAS, the City staff has prepared a summary of Ordinance No. 516 as follows:
The purpose of this ordinance is to protect the comfort, repose, health, peace,
safety, or welfare of city residents, and the quiet enjoyment of property within the
city by imposing reasonable restrictions on the hours during which significant
sources of noise may be used or operated.
2. This ordinance includes, but is not limited to, hours during which certain noise
generating activities may occur, emergency situations, and enforcement of the
ordinance and penalties for violation thereof.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SHOREWOOD:
1. The City Council finds that the above title and summary of Ordinance No. 516
clearly informs the public of intent and effect of the Ordinance.
2. The City Clerk is directed to publish Ordinance No. 516 by title and summary,
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 412.191, subdivision 4.
3. A full copy of the Ordinance is available at Shorewood City Hall and on the
city's website.
