19-042i_ • ] MUOINWIT614 I WHEREAS, The City of Shorewood has requested a conditional use permit to construct two new park buildings in Badger Park at 5745 Country Club Road in the R -1C district where a conditional use permit is required, on the property legally described as: Lot 12, Block 2 in Echo Hills 2nd Addition except that part of the east 28 feet thereof lying south of the westerly extension of the northerly line of Lot 2, Block 1, Echo Hills, according to the plats thereof on file or of record in the office of the Registrar of Deeds in and for said County; and, WHEREAS, the City proposes to construct a picnic shelter and restroom building on the property; and WHEREAS, after required notice, a public hearing was held and the application reviewed by the Planning Commission on April 2, 2019; the minutes from the meeting are on file at City Hall; and WHEREAS, the City Council considered the application at its regular meeting on April 22, 2019, at which time the Planning Director's memorandum and the Planning Commission's recommendations were reviewed and comments were heard by the City Council from the Applicant, staff and the public; and 6-1 M Lei a mynewel 0 LTA I I il, I ki I owe] F.'s a I ki 1916-Tm. lem 4 mli� The subject property is located in an R -1 C, Single- Family Residential zoning district, which allows public recreation buildings subject to the approval of a conditional use permit. 2. The City's proposal is identified on plans dated March 13, 2019. The Applicant's request has satisfied the criteria for granting a conditional use permit to construct public recreation buildings under the Shorewood City Code. • •• !!# t • ! • • •`• r IIIAN-19- 00 3. The new buildings would not overburden the city's existing public services and streets. 4. Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby approves a conditional use permit to construct two new public recreation buildings, based on the plans submitted March 13, 2019, subject to the following: a. The City may not proceed with improvements prior to issuance of required permits. b. Any new light fixtures must be full cut-off (fully shielded) to avoid casting light on any adjacent properties.
