RESOLUTION 19 -064
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTE AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
THE 2019 MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT
CITY PROJECT 19 -02
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for local improvements
designated as the 2019 Mill and Overlay Project, City Project 19 -02, bids were received,
opened on June 18, 2019 tabulated according to law, and such tabulation is attached hereto
and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that Bituminous Roadways, Inc. is the
lowest responsible and responsive bidder in compliance with the specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Shorewood as follows:
1. All bids for the construction of the 2019 Mill and Overlay Project, City
Project 19 -02 have been received and are tabulated on the attached summary.
2. The bid of Bituminous Roadways, Inc. in the amount of $539,693.00, for the
construction of said improvements, is in accordance with the plans and
specifications and advertisement for bids and is the lowest responsible bid.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and
on behalf of the City of Shorewood.
4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the
successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a
contract has been executed.
