OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF SHOREWOOD
WHEREAS, the Village of Shorewood did enact Ordinance No. 11,
regulating the subdivision of land in the Village of Shorewood,
Minnesota, on August 9, 1956, and did cause a certified copy of
said Ordinance to be filed in the office of the Register of Deeds
for Hennepin County in Book 759 Miscellaneous, Page 508, and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 11 has been amended in part by
Ordinance No. 20, adopted by the Village of Shorewood on October 14,
1958s and did cause a certified copy of said Ordinance to be filed
in the office of the Register of Deeds for Hennepin County, and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance No. 11 and Ordinance No. 22, amendatory
thereto, sets out certain minimum requirements to plat, re-plat or
transfer residential property within the Village of Shorewood, and
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Shorewood has
determined that it is for the best interests of the public that
the requirements of said Ordinance No. 11 and Ordinance No. 22
be waived as the same may affect the following described land:
Lot 184, Auditor's Subdivision No. 120, Hennepin County,
Minnesota, according to the recorded plat thereof on file
and of record in the of ' fice of the Register of Deeds in
and for said County and State.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Village Council of the Village of Shorewood
at a regular meeting of the Village Council held on the 19th day
of March, 1962, does
RESOLVE& That the requirements of said Ordinance No. 11
and Ordinance No. 22 of the Village of Shorewood
shall be waived as the same may apply to the land above
described.
Upon vote being taken there were five (5) yeas and no nays.

Monthly Meeting
October 8. 1962
The last meeting of the Shorewood Village Council was held at the hinnewashta
School at 7:30 P*m- on October 8., 1962* Present were Mayor Badger., Trustees
Janvrin and Wakefield,, Clerk Wiltsey with Trustee Freyexuuth absent. The
minutes of the last meeting were approved as read.
Had first reading of an ordinance providing for a Traffic Violations Bureau
fN r the new Municipal Court, with sedond reading and adoption at next regular
meeting.
Council unanimously passed a resolution whereby Shorewood shall appropriate
funds of $500-00 from the General Fund to the joint Municipal Court, payable
by December 1., 1962. (detailed resolution on file)
Action was tabled on the request of Deephaven to be permitted to join the
Municipal Court,, to enable the Judge to make a recommendation after they have
sN me indication of the work load.
Adopted a resolution approving a bond in the amount of $1000.00 for the Clerk
N f Municipal Court., Mrs. Dorothy Guth.
The council unanimously approved the new Fire Service Contract with the Mound
Volunteer Fire Department to serve that part of Enchanted Island and Shady
Island lying within the limits of Shorewood for the year 1963 for a total of
$400.00 including any calls made.
Report was made by Mrs. Osha on the horse permits issued. Trustee Wakefield
agreed to contact Henry Hoe, Minnetonka Manor personally to see if the terms
Nf the permit are being complied with. Notion waa made and seconded and carried
tN make the final payment of permit money due Mrs. Osha to date.
Mr. Herzog representing Minnesota Transit Lines., requested the council to recon-
sider their previous action so as to permit the parking of the school bus driver46
cars on the Wurm property. Council agreed to check further thereby extending
their parking privileges until the next council meeting in November.
The results of the survey of Lafayette Avenue., known as Timber Lane,, at the lak�;
access, made by the Hemepin County Surveyor, were read and the council agreed
that those residents making the request for the culvert be notified and asked
tN make the arrangements for the necessary easements and report back to the
council.
W'6rcing the dog licensing ordinance was again discussed at length. Agreed to
try a definite sdiedule of extensive policing by our part-time Police Officer
Robert Force of two days a week for three weeks.
Action was deferred on the acceptance or non-acceptance of a road leading to
the Homard Wendt property., et al. until Trustee Freyerinuth made his personal
report to the council.

MINUTES Monthly Meeting
November 12., 1962
The last meeting of the Shorewood Village Council was held at the Kinnewashta
School at 7:30 P-m- on November 12,, 1962 with full attendance of the Council.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as read.
Mr. Frank Schwartz presented an architectfs sketch of two proposed apartment
buildings to be built on the Schwartz property. Trustee Janvrin moved that
set a public hearing on the matter for December 10., 1962,,our next council
meeting. Seconded by Trustee Freyermuth and carried.
Mr. James Hawks and Mr, Dahlberg of Midwest Planning and Research, presented the
council with a "Planning ReportIt prepared for Mrs. Eva Hershey, concerning the
ttvalidity of non-conforming use" as it effects the Christmas Lake Motel owned
and operated by Mrs. Hershey. They explained the report and the council agreed
to study the report and take up at the January meeting.
An ordinance No, 37 providing for a traffic violations bureau in conj=Unetionj
with the Munici pal C o urt had its second reading and w a a adopted by a
vote of the council.

The last monthly meeting of the Shorewood Village Council was held at the hinnewashta
School on Demmber 10, 1962 at 7:30 P-M.- Present were Mayor Badger, Trustees
Freyermuth, Wakefield., Clerk Wiltsey withMTrustee Janvrin ab-sent. The Minutes
