CALL TO ORDER:
A special meeting of the Shorewood City Council was called to
order at 7:40 P.M. on Monday, December 1, 1980 in the Council
Chambers.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
Meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.
ROLL CALL:
Council members present: Mayor Frazier, Tad Shaw, Jan Haugen,
Bill Keeler (arrived 7:45 P.M.), Naegele (arrived 7:50 P.M.)
Staff present: Clerk Wiltsey, Attorney Kelly, and
Engineer Mittelsteadt.

ENGINEER'S REPORT
As a result of the petition received from eight residents in
the area of Minnetonka Drive and McLain Drive, requesting
municipal water servite, the engineer had prepared a cost esti-
mate of the total costs to serve that area. The Council acknow-
ledged receipt of the report and agreed to take it under advise-
ment to determine the individual costs that could be assessed
and how this extension would fit into the service being installed
to serve the Wild Duck Addition.
GUENTHER DIVISION:
Council acknowledged receipt of the engineer's review of
application for division of the Guenther property, 5960 Christmas
Lake Road; report dated December 1, 1980 indicates 8,950 square
feet of wetlands area and to meet the required square footage of
40,000 square feet in the R-l Zone, the proposed lot should be
increased approximately 45 feet (120.25 X 407.37).
FORMAL DEDICATION OF CITY HALL
Council agreed that a formal dedication of the new City Hall be
held on December 29, 1980 and that an appropriate plaque be made
up accordingly.

TRANSPORTATION PLAN
Council reviewed the latest draft of the Transportation Plan
and noted certain corrections, additions, and deletions. In
discussion, there was also input from the Mayor-elect and
Councilmen-elect.
Moved by Haugen, seconded by Naegele, to approve the Transporta-
tion Plan including the corrections, additions, and deletions as
agreed upon by the Council and to refer the amended Plan to the
Planner for submission to the Metro Council as provided for in
Resolution No. 65-80 adopted on October 27, 1980. Motion carried
unanimously.

EXCELSIOR COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
Mayor acknowledged that he had a copy of the Excelsior Com-
prehensive Plan and indicated he would convey the Council's
comments in a letter to Excelsior and Metro Council.
ADJOURNMENT
Moved by Haugen, seconded by Frazier, for adjournment at
9:30 P.M. Motion carried unanimously.
