The Shorewood City Council reconvened as the Shorewood Board of
Review at 7:35 P.M. on June 2, 1982 in the Council Chambers to
continue to review the assessed valuation placed on real estate
property in Shorewood.
Full Council was in attendance. Also present was Hennepin County
Assessor, Don Monk.
The following property owners appealed to the Council for reduc-
tions in their assessed valuations:
FRANK KELLY

Mr. Kelly presented and reviewed a letter for the Council
requesting a reduction in his 1982 valuation of 100,000.
Moved by Haugen, seconded by Shaw, to reduce his valuation to
92,000. (32,000. - Land and 60,000. ~. House).
Motion carried, 4 ayes, 1 nay (Leonardo).
JAMES BRUCE

Council reviewed valuation of a large number of homes on
Christmas Lake. Valuations and descriptions of these homes
were supplied by the Hennepin County Assessor.
After reviewing these properties, it was moved by Haugen,
seconded by Leoardo, to reduce the valuation from 428,000.
to 303,300. (110,000. - Land and 193,300. - Bldg.)
Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Bruce questioned Mr. Monk about the valuation on his
solar collector. Mr. Monk advised council that 7,320.
should be subtracted from his valuation.
Haugen moved, seconded by Leonardo, to withdraw original
motion for reconsideration. Motion carried unanimously.
Haugen then moved, seconded by Leonardo, to reduce Bruce's
valuation to 296,000. (110,000. - Land and 186,000.-B1dg.)
Motion carried unanimously.

405,000.
Shaw moved, seconded by Haugen, to reduce Mr. Naegele's
valuation to 360,000. (140,000. - Land and 220,000. Bldg.)
Motion carried unanimously.

Mr. Pierce requested a reduction in his 1982 valuation of
284,000.
Moved by Shaw, seconded by Gagne, tu Leduce his valuation to
259,000. (193,000. - Bldg. and 66,000. - Land)
Motion carried unanimously.
GEORGE ZENANKO

Mr. Zenanko requested the council to reduce his 1982 valua-
tion of 255,000. Mr. Zenanko had na background information
for the council. Assessor Monk suggested that he appeal to
the County Board. Mr. Zenanko wanted the city to deal with
his request directly.
Haugen, moved a reduction in valuation to 235,000. (40,000 -
Land and 195,000. Bldg.) if Mr. Zenanko would provide data
on square footage of land. Motion died for lack of second.
Shaw then motioned to reduce valuation to 235,000. (55,000.-
Land and 180,000. - Bldg.)
Motion denied. 2 Ayes, 3 nayes (Gagne, Rascop, & Leonardo).

of Review at 10:12 P.M.
Motion carried unanimously.
