The meo ti ng was called to 0 rder i1 t 6: 14 PM by the Mayor, r~obe r t
Rascop. Those present were: Robert Gagne, Kristi Stover, Frank
(Tad) Shaw, and Jan Haugen of the Council. Later Attorney Gary
Larson came In.
The office staff and road staff personnel were discussed. Gagne
and Stover gave input on staff. Shaw and Rascop provided information
on insurance. Gagne and Stover reviewed liquor store information.
Budget items and projections were discussed for the liquor
store and for the city.
During the discussion it developed that there was a lack of
confidence ln the city administrator when he was working with
the council. Haugen and others related requests that were never
followed through. Discussion followed .
Motion made by Gagne/second by Stover to ask for the resignation
of the administrator. On a roll call vote there were 5 Ayes.
Mayor moved that Jan Haugen be the second slgner on the checks
if the Mayor or Sandy is not available. Second by Tad Shaw.
Vote was 4 Ayes. Haugen Abstained.
Jan Haugen was asked to write an ad and place it in the coming
Sunday paper and Monday paper. Application deadline is to be
March 5th, 1984. She is also to notify the League of Minnesota
Cities about the ad... .and call GTS to see if we can get someone
for April 7th to facilitate the joint meeting.
The Mayor said he will notify the bank and our consultants as
to the resignation.
Motion was made by Gagne/second by liaugen that the Mayor be
authorisod to terminate the present administrators employment
if the resignation is not forthcoming. 5-0 vote.
