CITY OF SHOREWOOD BOARD OF REVIEW THURSDAY, MAY 24, 1984 COUNCIL CHAMBERS 5755 COUNTRY CLUB LANE 7:30 PM M I NUT E S CALL TO ORDER Shorewood City Council convened as the Shorewood Board of Review at 7:30 PM on May 24, 1984 in the Council Chambers to review the assessed valuation placed on real estate property in Shorewood. ROLL CALL Present: Mayor Rascop; Councilmembers Shaw, Stover, Haugen and Gagne. Staff: County Assessors Milton Hilk and Larry Miller and Deputy Clerk Niccum. REQUESTS The following property owners came before Council for review of their assessed valuation: Chester Yanik 4245 Enchanted Lane 30-117~23-33-0031 The County Assessor had inspected this property and sent a letter to Mr. Yanik on May 23, 1984, giving him a reduction from $239,700 to $218,600. Mr. Yanik accepted this reduction. Bill Maddy 57eO Christmas Lake Road 35-117-23-13-0023 35-117-23-13-0020 The County Assessor reviewed the property (35-117-23-13-0023) and felt no change in valuation should be made. Stover moved, seconded by Haugen, that the lot (35-117-23-13-0023) remain at $5,000 but, that the primary valuation of (35-117-23- 13-0020) be lowered from $71,800 to $07,500. Motion carried unanimously. Bill Pye 2796e Smithtown Drive 35-117-23-34-0009 Rascop moved, Shaw seconded, to reduce the valuation from $252,100 to $230,000 Motion carried unanimously. Mike Kramer 5425 Timber Lane 34-117-23-22-0016 The County Assessor reviewed this property and felt that no change should be made. Haugen moved, seconded by Shaw, to leave the property value at the assessor's valuation of $175,500. Motion carried unani- mously. Steven Larson 20435 Radisson Inn Rd. 36-117-23-21-0010 The County Assessor reviewed this property and felt that no change should be made. Stover moved, Gagne seconded, to reduce the valuation from $285,000 to $23B,000 (Land - $75,000 and buildings - $163,000). Motion carried unanimously. Horton Brooks 21195 Raddison Inn Road 35-117-23-13-0029 Council asked the Assessor to review this property and return to the June 12 meeting with the information. Dorothy Marie Lane 5660 Christmas Lake Road 33-117-23-14-0004 Stover moved, Gagne seconded, to reduce the valuation from $174,900 to $159,200 (land - $60,000 and buildings - to remain at $99,200). Motion carried unanimously. David Lawrence 5230 Howards Point Road 30-117-23~44-0005 Shaw moved, seconded by Stover, to reduce the valuation from $210,800 to $175,000 (land - $105,000 and buildings - $70,000). Motion carried unanimously. Dudley Eastbourne 5310 Elmridge Circle 29-117-23-34-0008 Stover moved, seconded by Haugen, to reduce the valuation from $306,300 to $270,000 (land - $130,000 and buildings - $140,000). 4 - ayes and 1 - abstain. Pamela Danser 5~40 Christmas Lake Road 35-117-23-42-0004 35-117-23-42-0011 The Assessor reviewed the property and recommended a reduction from $100,000 to $90,000. Haugen moved, seconded by Stover, to reduce the valuation from $100,000 to $90,000 (land - $40,000 and building - $50,000). 35-117-23-42-0011 to remain the same at $1,100. Motion carried. . . . Ilo.. Gagne moved, Haugen seconded, to reduce the property from $169,000 to $167,200 (land - $42,000 and buildings - $125,200). Motion carried unanimously. Haugen moved, Stover seconded, to reduce valuation from $109,100 to $95,000 (land $22,000 and building $73,000). Motion carried unanimously.
