7:30 PM PUBLIC HEARING - Review of the Proposed 1987 Budget - City of Shorewood
ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Rascop, Councilmembers Stover, Gagne, Shaw and
Haugen (Haugen arrived at 7:40 PM)
Staff Administrator Vogt, Finance Director Beck, Planner/
Bldg. Inspector Nie&sen, Public Works Director Zdrazil,
Clerk Kennelly, and Finance Committee Member Bridge.

CALL TO ORDER'
Mayor Rascop called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM, Monday,
September 29, 1986. Administrator Vogt informed the Council of
the need topostpone the Public Hearing set for 7:30 PM to create
an Infrastructure Replacement Reserve Fund. Due to an error in
not publishing the hearing notice two weeks successively, by the
official newspaper, the hearing cannot be held.
Stover moved, seconded by Gagne, to postpone the Infrastructure
Fund public hearing until October 20, 1986. Council discussed
further the need for this road replacement fund. Rascop will not
support a 24 mill budget nor does he feel complete road~replacement
should be done to roads until water lines are installed. The
Council does support the establishment of this fund but not at
this time. Motion to set the Public Hearing was denied ~ ~ aye
(Stover) 3 nay - 1 Abstain (Shaw).
8:00 ~M PUBLIC HEARING - General Budget
Mayor Rascop opened the Public portion of the Budget hearing at
8:80 PM. After receiving no public comment the hearing was
closed.
Acceptance of the 1987 Budget
RESOLUTION NO. 115-86
Gagne moved, seconded by Stover, to approve the City Budget for
1987, without the Infrastructure Fund, at a total of $1,632,583.00.
The Budget was adopted by Roll Call Vote - 5 ayes.
Authorization of Advertisement for Bids and Set
Bid Letting - Project e6-1E - SE Area
Watermain Extension RESOLUTION NO. 116-86
Engineer Nprton has made a request to advertise for bids to extend
the Wa termain to RIJ:a:v:/tde water to Waterford I s 2nd PhCise.
Gagne moved, seconded by Haugen, to authorize bids and set
bid letting for 11:30 AM on October 14, 1986. Motion carried
by Roll Call Vote - 5 ayes.

Near Mountain Development - Request to Extend Working Hours
Lundgren Bros. has requested to extend their working hours
from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM from Mondays through Sundays for their
Sweetwater and Chestnut Ridge' 9th Addition.
Gagne moved, seconded by Stover, to approve the extension of
working hours as recorrmended by the Planner, to limit weekend
hours to 9:00 AM through 6:00 PM and week days from 7:00 AM to
8:00 PM. Motion carried - 5 ayes.
ADJOURNMENT
Haugen moved, seconded by Gagne, to adjourn the Budget Hearing
of Monday, September 29, 1986 at 8:38 PM. Motion carried - 5 ayes.
