040775 PK MINThe 5th meeting of the Shorewood Park Commission was held on
Monday, April 7, 1975, at 7:3 pm. Those present were: Dean,
Gray, Wyatt, Drews, Heiland, McCuskey, Frost, Keeler and Congdon.
Chairman Dean called the meeting to order and stated our purpose:
to develop an ordinance establishing the Shorewood Park Commission.
Two additional reports were presented: Edina-- Allen Gray, and
Eden Prairie--Judy McCuskey.
We discussed the structure of the ordinance. The discussion
resulted in a tentative draft of our proposal. (See attached sheet)
The proposal will be sent to all members of the Council and the
Chairman of the Planning Commission for their perusal.
It was decided that the Council will be invited to attend our
next meeting to make comments and suggestions on our tentative
copy*
MOTION It was moved by Allen Gray and seconded by Win Drews that
Micheal J. Naylon, Minnesota Environmental Sciences Found-
ation, Inc., be invited to speak at our May 5th meeting.
Motion carried.
Bill Keeler circulated the Land Use Plan by Iffahrman, Chapman
Associates, Inc., in March, 1971. He invormed the commission that
the village had worked out a plan to allow purchase of the land ad-
jacent to Manor Park,
Judy McCuskey was appointed to represent the Park Commission
on the Shorewood Bicentennial Committee.
There will be a special meeting, April 17, 7:30 pm., at Minne-
washta School with the Village Engineer, the Village Council, the
Planning Commission and the Park Commission to explain the Storm
Sewer Study.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 5, Ylinne-
washta School, at 7:30 Pm.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:35 Pm.
