IN:e mbers present were: neiland, Wyatt, Paulson, N.cCusky, Newbold, Breckheimer and Drews. 1"he minutes were approved as mailed. 1 �_anor Park The City Council has authorized Frank Kelly to proceed with negotia bons for McKinley property adjacent to Mlanor Park. McKinley has asked X42,000 for all property (approx. 2.8 acres) including the house. The village will offer Y14,000 for property not including the peice on which the house sits. cadger Field Minnetonka Youth Hockey has again decided to support efforts at Badger Field, They will pay X700 of the $947 for light poles, $848 for 'Lighting . Costs on the Hockey rink are: Metal posts, washer, etc., 2 x 4's =$947. ($700 by MYHA' Lighting = 848. (by ATYK.A ) Poles at $45 /ea = 200. Total $2300 Boards = 1000 (by YYH ) 65 0 (4 men/ 50 hrs.) • __._.. Total 1 950 'N'oble Property Allan uray has discussed the golf course with Bob Bottinger and Ted Noble. he will continue with discussions. HUD Yonies The Council has advised the Park Commission to proceed with future plans to prepare for PHUD application. vim suggested we decide where we wish to appropriate funds. We should inquire of other villages what their funding and long- range plans have included. In next two weeks, Commission members should have reports from other villages regarding planning. row many parks do they have? What do they see as future bud- What kind of revenue? geting possibilities? What ordinances do they have? .What is the population? Have they developed long; range goals? Do they have Neighborhood, mini(one for 50 homes), major facilities (regional) or trails and open space? rollowing our collecting of data we will consider using a profession- al planner to formulate ideas. Developer's Fee ?ill Wyatt brought up the need for working on the ordinance to change the fee to builders and developers. Bill Keeler has discussed the ord- inance with .Frank Kelly and he will investigate. Eden Prairie's ordinance was reviewed. Their Council determines individual " reasonability ". Minnesota Statute states that a village can designate a portion of building permit be used for "public use'. Accolades: r�.ayor 4" Haugen complimented the Park I Frazier and Councilwoman Jan Commission on the progress and work they have accomplished. Judy Y. - lusky will write to John Gray thinking him for spraying the hockey boards. Gloria will write a letter to the Editor of the Sun and viaverick thanking, all the volunteers who helped in assembling the rinks and sodding work. Financing: The used of NN UM a special Bond Issue was discussed as a means of additional funding. When we have our long range planning underway we can discuss it further. Wally took pictures at Badger be-fore and after --- - they would make a good future selling point. Commission members: Don Paulson and John Breckheimer have accepted the suppestion that they run again for another term on the commission. Carol 'iewbold will be unable to continue after J an. 1, 19?6. but will help willing- J ly with any volunteer jobs at any time. iviembers should bring names to consider for commission members for the next meeting.
