Railroad Right of Way Rill Wyatt contacted the Chicago - Northwestern Railra.od to inquire • about abandoning the railroad which runs through our city. They could give us no information other that to say that tftey would eventually do so. Pill will contact the Real Estate section of the railroad to see if we could use or lease the remaining easement not used by the tracks for ? trails - - -one on each side of the track (one skiing- one snowmobiling; horse and hiking in the summer) ,Meetings that we bgin meeting as a commission the first Monday motion: of each month and not hold a second monthly meeting unless absolutely necessary. Motion defeated. Discussion on the motion centered around our long -range plan. It was felt that when that was completed, monthly meetings would be pursued. 2eginning next meeting, a member of the Planning Commission will attend our meetings.
