PARK COMMISSION
MINUTES August 2, 1976
The August 2nd meeting of the Shorewood Park Commission was called to
order by Chairman Bill Wyatt. Gray,'Raby;, Drews, McCuskey, Paulsen and -
Heiland attended.
Deborah Fellman_of the School of Landscape Architecture at the University
of Minnesota gave us her ideas for the development of a long range park
plan for Shorewood. After considerable discussion, aim Heiland moved
and Win Drews seconded that we ask Mike Naylon to help us begin the pre-
liminary park plan. Motion passed.
Bill Wyatt will contact Mike to see if he can attend our August 16th
meeting.
Don Paulsen and Jean Raby reported that the building at Manor Park seems
to serve no one. It is in bad shape:structurally.and Jean has received
no calls from neighborhood people favoring its restoration. Don moved
and aim seconded that the building bg removed. Motion 'passed. Bill
will inform the council of our decision.
Jim reported that Roger Hartman will spray the hockey boards at Cathcart
and Badger. Forty to sixty gallons of paint are needed. Boards will be
painted white on the inside and grass green outside.
