100377 PK MINPARK COMMISSION
October 3, 1977
MINUTES
Chrm. John Breckheimer called the Park Commission meeting to order
with Wyatt, Drews, McCuskey, Raby, Robin, C. Schmid and Stein in
attendance. Vern Watten discussed the Cathcart Building with us.
Chanhassen has okayed the site plan with the stipulation that we do
our own inspecting. Win Drews moved that we direct Jerome Studer to
begin the footings and the walls. Arty Johnson is the mason who will
work on the building and Vern will be available for consultation.
Jim seconded the motion and it passed.
John told us about the Memorial Garden fund for Shirley Rice which
will be constructed at Manor Park.
Debby Fellman has been paid in full for the booklets and services.
A tennis rules sign must be made for Badger. John feels that the
Crescent Beach sign can be repaired instead of replaced.
The five ash trees which have been offered to the City will be
purchased for use at Badger.
Connie Schmid had drawings for a storage cabinet to be kept at
Minnewashta School and used by the Council and Park Commission. It
will be presented for Council approval.
It has been suggested by the Council that the warming house at Badger
be moved in order to allow machinery to move more easily between main-
tenance buildings.
The feeling of the Park Commission ran against moving it and the Council
was informed of our opinion.
Meeting adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Judy McCuskey, Secretary Pro -tem
