The meeting of the Shorewood Park Commission was called to order by Chairman
John Breckheimer.

Absent - Gordon Lindstrom
NEW PARK COMMISSION MEMBER
Bob Nygaard was accepted by the City Council as our new Park Commission member.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE
Win Drews has requested a leave of absence for a short time.
HOCKEY RINK
The CETA youth employees new paint job on the hockey rink was noted and applauded.
The need for new nets before winter was introduced and Conrad Schmid agreed to
tollow up on this.
COTMIPLETION 01' BADGER PARK
Projects left to complete Badger Park are:
1. Walkway- jogging obstacle course
• 2. Moving of the park building and painting of it.
3. How much of the paved area in front of the garage is park grounds?
4. Necessity of screening fence and shrubbery to separate the maintenance
from the park area; to enhance the beauty and use of the park.
5. A request to the Council to move the orange steel frames that are
stored next to the park at the end of the driveway.
CAT'HCART FIELD
Conrad Schmid, Gordon Lindstrom, and Don Goettelman will present a plea to the
City Cou:acil for restructuring the field at Cathcart for an added use. Also
touching on Shorewood's Lake Access possibilities.
MEETINGS
A meeting will be scheduled in the near future on Enchanted Island which our
new member Bob Nygaard would like to see.
