Chairman Don Goettelman, Roger Stein, Carol
Chapman and Councilman Bill Keeler.
Gordon Lindstrom, Irene Chanin, Bob Nygaard and
Conrad Schmid.
There was some discussion of the need for a paid professional
who would manage present parks, design development of new parks
(e.g. Freeman property) and seek out federal and other monies
available to assist in funding Shorewood's parks. (There has
been an informal request made for a bike racing track on the
Freeman property.)
The members present felt the Commission should have been consulted
about the name for the ball field newly named "Griswold Field ".
After discussion of the DNR letter regarding purchase of a
public access to Christmas Lake,members present recommended that
it be put on the council agenda.
Mayor Frazier has not yet been successful in arranging a joint
meeting.
The next scheduled meeting is Monday, August 4, 1980.
