PARK COMMISSION MEETING

CALL TO ORDER
MINUTES

Chairman Roger Stein called the meeting to order at 7:45 PM
ROLL CALL
Present: Chariman Roger Stein, Commissioner Gordon Lindstrom, Carol
Butterfield, Gary Carl, Marty Jakel, Mari Kooi;Council Liaison
Tad Shaw and Deputy Clerk Sue Niccum.
Absent: Commissioner Con Schmid (Parent - teacher conferences)
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Gary Carl moved, Mari Kooi seconded, to approve the minutes of April 2, 1984.
Motion carried unanimously.
FESTIVAL OF PARKS
The Festival appears to be going well. The Council approved $700.00 for
Festival expenditures. Commissioner Gary Carl suggested that 50% of the
net profit go into a fund to use for next years initial expenditures.
The Century Club Donations are complete for 1983. It was suggested that a
new chairman be chosen yearly, this way new ideas will be presented.
Commission asked staff to provide a printed list of Century Club donations
for 1983 so the plaque can be prepared.
SPECIAL MEETING - APRIL 30. 1984 - 6:30 PM
There will be a special meeting to visit Badger and Manor Park, and to pick
the bid on the playground equipment. Public Works Director, Don Zdrazil, will
be asked to the meeting.

Commissioner Carol Butterfield reported Council action on:
BMX Contract - approved
Festival Advance - approved $700.00

Council Liaison Tad Shaw reported:
MAPSI - "MAPSI "will no longer furnish our animal control. May 15th
"White Bear Animal Control" will take over Shorewood animal control.
