Chairperson Roger Stein called the meeting to order at 7:10 P.M.
ROLL CALL
Present: Chairperson Roger Stein-, Commissioners Gordon Lindstrom, Carol Butterfield,
Gary Carl, Mari Kooi.
Absent: Commissioners Con Schmid (called in), and Marty Jakel.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Lindstrom moved, Butterfield seconded to approve the minutes of October 1, 1984 as
written. Motion carried unanimously.
HOCKEY SCHEDULE
Tad Shaw informed the Commission that the Minnetonka Youth Hockey Association has
returned their Certificate of Insurance and copies of the 84 — 85 Hockey Agreement.
Both will be placed in file.
A report on the hockey rink salary expenditures for the last 3 years was submitted
by Ev Beck. It appears that there is enough money in the 1984 and 1985 budgets to
increase the ice attendants salary ranges for the upcoming season. Mari Kooi moved,
Stein seconded that the present salary ranges for ice attendants be increased by
.50 cents on both ends of the salary range. Motion carried unanimously.
SHADY HILLS PARK
No new information was presented.
TONKA UNITED SOCCER ASSOCIATION
The letter received from the Association and their request to use Badger field for
soccer games was discussed.
It was decided that more information was needed to determine what this additional
use would do to the field. Lindstrom stated he will talk to Jim Jones.
LETTER
A letter was sent to Rapid Oil Company thanking them for their $100. donation to
the Century Club.
MATTERS FROM THE FLOOR
It was suggested that a sign(s) be placed at the Highway 7 entrance to Freeman Park
as outlined in the park plan. Stein will check into getting this done before December.
