CALL TO ORDER
Present: Chairman Schmid, Commissioners Lindstrom, Vogel, and Jakel; and
Council Liaison Shaw.
Absent: Commissioner Laberee, Deputy Clerk Niccum (ill).
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Chairman Schmid led the Commission in the Pledge of Allegiance.
COMMISSIONER JURGENS RESIGNS
Council Liaison Shaw reported that he had received notice of Jurgen's resignation.
PARK COMMISSION VACANCIES
Commission will request that Sue, upon her return, notify the newspaper of two
vacancies. Shaw told them a newsletter will be coming out next week with an
article on the vacancy.
AP PROVAL OF MINUTES
• Vogel moved, Jakel seconded, to approve the minutes of July 21st as corrected.
Motion carried unanimously.
BUDGET
The Commission reviewed the budget.
Payphone -Manor Park
Commission reviewed information presented and suggested staff check with
other telephone companies.
Silverwood Park /Raft
The Commission discussed dockage on Silver lake.
The Commission- recommends that Administrator Vogt sell the raft stored in
the City Garage.
Crescent Beach
The Commission discussed dockage and asking Public Works Director Zdrazil
for direction.
Full Time Man for Parks
The Commission would like to know if Don means summer or year around help.

Add Safety netting on hockey rink, north end, to budget.
SNOWMOBILE ORDINANCE - FIRST DRAFT
The Commission reviewed the 1st draft of the Snowmobile Ordinance and made sev-
eral changes. The 2nd draft will be reviewed at the meeting of August 18, 1986.
Lindstrom moved, Jakel seconded., to add the following clause to the Ordinance:
"602.03 K. - No person shall operate a snowmobile during the hours of 11:00 PM
and 7:00 AM except as a means of transportation to the residence of the operator."
Motion carried unanimously.

Jakel moved, Vogel seconded, to approve the 1st draft of the Snowmobile Ordinance
as revised. Motion carried unanimously.
BADGER FOOTBALL FIELD /MANOR BALLFIELD
Jim Truax will be coming out to look at Manor Park ballfield and Badger Park
football field. He will then offer advice as to what should be done with them.

Lindstrom moved, Vogel seconded, to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.

RE: MISCELLANEOUS PARK INFORMATION
PAYPHONE -MANOR PARK
I checked on the payphone. Installation charges would be $75 -100 and the
monthly bill would be $55 (they also keep the money taken in). It would
be mounted on the wall outside of the building.
ITEMS BOUGHT TO MY ATTENTION -FOR ACTION IN 1986
1. 2 Hockey goalee nets
2. Screening on North side of Cathcart hockey rink - similar to Badger
but no gate.
3. Volleyball Court
